Feral Five: Man Cat Doll Machine

Here's something about Feral Five featured on Grrrls With Guitars in honour of the brilliant Kat Five. The article also talks about our Picasso inspired/questioning EP Man Cat Doll Machine, written for Martyn Ware's 'Everything You Can Imagine Is Real' night at the National Portrait Gallery in 2017. Johann Johannson's mythical journey

Image
Jóhan  Jóhannsson 's Orph ée  on Deutsche Grammophon (released September 2016) is sublime. It evokes the human emotion of an Hellenic myth made real and also stands as a series of evocative moving vignettes, each with their own frail beauty. T he ethereal 'number station' voices sound like something one might hear reflecting across the water of the Styx both literally and metaphorically sounding of "an undiscovered country" as the bard might have said. The Icelandic composer creates gorgeous textures from the ether and it is therefore no surprise that his other worldly creations inspired the producers of Arrival to commission him to write their score. Listen to the music of Moon

I've heard some of this and can't wait to see the movie. Clint Mansell's music is inspirational. It's the kind of genius that's infectious!
